About Us
Welcome to Do Good Charity Initiative.
Do Good Charity Initiative (DGCI) is a registered non-profit organization (CAC/IT/NO.103114) dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children, women, and underserved communities across Nigeria. Guided by our vision of making life a memorable experience for vulnerable populations and our mission of creating sustainable change, we implement programs focused on social protection, education, community development, and hygiene advocacy.
Through strategic partnerships and community-driven interventions, we address challenges such as poor access to education, child protection concerns, food insecurity, inadequate sanitation, and barriers to women’s empowerment. Our work seeks to create opportunities that improve well-being, promote dignity, and strengthen communities.
As part of our commitment to health and dignity, we established Hygiene Bank Nigeria, a social enterprise and advocacy platform that promotes hygiene education, menstrual health awareness, sanitation, and access to essential hygiene products for vulnerable individuals and communities. Through this initiative, we are helping to reduce hygiene poverty while advancing healthier and more inclusive communities.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
Beyond our direct community interventions, Do Good Charity Initiative serves as the convener and lead organization for GivingTuesday Nigeria, part of the global GivingTuesday movement that inspires generosity and social action. Through this role, we mobilize nonprofit organizations, schools, volunteers, corporate partners, and community leaders across the country to promote a culture of giving, volunteerism, and collective impact. By fostering collaboration and strengthening the social impact ecosystem, we are helping to build a more compassionate, engaged, and resilient society.
We believe that sustainable development is achieved when communities work together, vulnerable populations are empowered, and every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Since 2017, we have positively impacted over **25,000 lives** through our programs, partnerships, and advocacy efforts, remaining committed to creating lasting change for children, women, and communities across Nigeria.

Message from the Founder & Executive Director
“”The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”” — Mahatma Gandhi
Welcome to Do Good Charity Initiative (DGCI).
Since our inception in 2017, our journey has been driven by a simple yet powerful belief: that every act of kindness has the potential to transform lives and strengthen communities. What began as a vision to create meaningful change for vulnerable children and women has grown into a movement of compassion, service, and collective impact.
Today, I am proud to share that together with our dedicated volunteers, partners, donors, supporters, and community stakeholders, we have positively impacted over 25,000 lives across Nigeria through our interventions in education, social protection, community development, hygiene advocacy, health, and humanitarian response.
This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners who have believed in our mission and invested their time, resources, expertise, and trust in our work. Your commitment has enabled us to reach underserved communities, restore hope, improve learning environments, promote dignity through hygiene and sanitation initiatives, and create opportunities for children, women, and families to thrive.
At DGCI, we understand that lasting change cannot be achieved alone. It requires collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to building a society where every individual has the opportunity to live with dignity and reach their full potential. Through initiatives such as Hygiene Bank Nigeria and our various community-centered programs, we remain committed to addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality while empowering communities to become agents of their own development.
As we look to the future, our resolve remains stronger than ever. We will continue to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and build strategic partnerships that help create sustainable solutions for the communities we serve.
On behalf of the entire DGCI family, thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we are not only changing lives, we are building a future filled with hope, opportunity, and lasting impact.
With gratitude,
Folakemi Adesina
